I think it was misinterpreted in my original answer and people thought i meant that higher octane gives you more power, when really i just meant that you’ll more than likely notice a decrease in power using lower octanes in a turbocharged car.
Actually in a turbo car you’d be more likely to notice misfires or detonation, rather than a power decrease, with lower octanes.

Doesn’t higher octane fuel just have a lower chance of combusting under pressure?
